If you owned Nintendo Land and didn't have friends to play with often, you probably thought this game sucked. The single player stuff on the other hand? It's a pretty mixed bag and is easily the weakest aspect of the game. Yoshi's Fruit Cart: Nintendo Land absolutely nails pretty much all of it's cooperative and competitive games. This game is super rad, and while I'm kind of partial to Pikmin, this one is also fantastic. Similar to Pikmin, it feels like you are and your friends are just playing through an entire campaign, like some kind of mini Zelda game.

Not to mention, if you don't like playing as the swordsman, you can play as the archer with the gamepad which is also really fun and plays very differently. But I gotta say the motion controls here are surprisingly responsive and really fun. Kid me was too busy playing real games like Wii Sports and some mediocre Hot Wheels game (As much as I love Wii Sports, I still question kid me's decisions). The Legend of Zelda: Battle Quest: Look I never played Skyward Sword. Honestly it's not that big of a deal due to how great the rest of the game is. That's kind of a problem with the Wii in general, but unfortunately I do not believe this game has nunchuck support.

My only complaint is that controlling the toads with a wii mote dpad feels more clunky than controlling the ghost hunters in Luigi's Ghost Mansion due to the more open 3D design of this game. And seeing the replay at the end, where the toad players get to find out where Mario was the whole time, is sort of the icing on the cake.

It gets even more hectic with the other maps (the mud one is kind of lame but the slide one is legit). Something about trying to back Mario into a corner, or trying to juke out the toads by hiding on different parts of the map is super fun. And yet, somehow, this game is pretty addictive. The toads try to catch Mario and Mario tries to not get caught. Mario Chase: Other than Luigi's Ghost Mansion, this was the one game I always played with my friends, and that's because this game is awesome. Idk man this game is just so much fun to play with friends, and there's so much content it feels like the Pikmin game we should've gotten on the 3DS instead of Hey Pikmin! You should definitely check this one out if you haven't already. There are so many levels, so many creative bosses, throwing around pikmin to break stuff is fun, leveling up as the pikmin is great, there's a few puzzles to mix things up. Pikmin Adventure: As someone who had never played a Pikmin game prior to playing Nintendo Land, I can tell you this game is absolutely amazing. If you have a Wii U and want to try out Nintendo Land with some buddies, I recommend trying this game first. You'll know upfront what maps are easier for the ghosts and which maps are easier for the hunters, and it still usually comes down to team coordination and stealth on the ghost's end rather than what map you're playing on. While a couple of maps aren't super well balanced (like the rooftop one with a bunch of Monitas), there is a good variety of maps to play with so it isn't really a problem. Both trying to find the ghost or screwing with other players as the ghost is super fun, and thankfully both control really well. Luigi's Ghost Mansion: By far the best game in Nintendo Land, so much so I genuinely think they should try to bring this back in some kind of online multiplayer for the next Luigi's Mansion (however many years off that is). But the difference in quality between the best and worst Nintendo Land games is pretty massive so I'm going to do a tier list. Nintendo Land was an awesome game and one of like three games that actually used the gamepad well.
